Hooray! All of you Alber Elbaz-ites can rejoice, Lanvin is coming to H&M!
Quoted in the New York Times, Elbaz stated, “I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public.”
H&M going luxury? Well, we’ll have to wait and see how that turns out. I’m not sure how well the Lanvin brand will translate to the mass-market, and while I’m prepared to be pleasantly surprised, I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how some of the following could transformed in order to be sold en masse…

People can have their first look at the collection on Nov. 2–in a film that will be shown on hm.com–and the clothes will go on sale Nov. 23.
